The name Advanced Application in the Lab. of Advanced Application for Intelligence Systems (AAIS) originated from the preface of Richard P. Feynman's book, Lectures on Computation.

In this preface, Feynman considered artificial intelligence as not more than a special example of advanced application using the theory of computation and mathematics. This point of view towards artificial intelligence is the motivation of using the name Advanced Application for studying intelligence systems in our Lab. We aim at using principled approaches for studying artificial intelligence.
